Terranean now operating as RPS

 Detailed Terrain Model

Specialist Mapping and Geographic Information Systems (GIS) consultancy Terranean will now operate as RPS, following the company's acquisition in May 2011.

The office will continue to be managed locally and delivered specialised services in LiDAR and Aerial Photography, GIS Services, Cartographic Services, Satellite Remote Sensing and Spatial Data Products.

The rebrand to RPS will further strengthen Terranean’s market leading position in Mapping and GIS. It also cements the close relationship between the two organisations, which has seen significant collaboration on projects over many years, particularly with RPS’ environment and surveying services.

Key projects the team have recently completed include detailed LiDAR mapping for the $1.5 billion Copperstring Project, the proposed 1041-kilometre long, high-voltage electricity line between Woodstock and Mount Isa and a 3D model of the Gold Coast’s tourist strip to help plan the design and construction of the proposed Light Rail Network.

Terranean is now part of a 900 strong workforce in 25 locations across Australia and the Asia Pacific and globally, RPS has a team of 4,500 and trades in the UK, Ireland, the Netherlands, North America, Australia and South East Asia and undertakes projects in many other parts of the world.
